About this class

What Meditation Sessions is really about

Meditation is not about emptying the mind. It is about learning to be with it — without being thrown around by it. At Aikia, we teach dhyana the way it has been passed down for thousands of years: practical, demystified, and rooted in techniques that genuinely work. You'll learn three or four methods, find the one that suits you, and slowly build a daily practice that becomes the steadiest part of your day.

Why join

The benefits you'll feel

Real, observable changes — most of them within the first month.

Sharper focus

Studies show 20 minutes of daily meditation visibly improves attention span within weeks.

Better sleep

Sleep onset times drop, depth improves, racing-mind nights reduce dramatically.

Lower stress hormones

Cortisol levels measurably drop with consistent practice.

Emotional regulation

You start to notice the gap between feeling and reaction — and use it.

Clarity

When the mental noise quiets, what's actually true becomes obvious.

Spiritual depth

For those interested in the deeper end — the techniques are all here.

Curriculum

What you'll learn

A structured curriculum, not a random sequence of postures. Every class builds on the last.

In their words

From students of this class

"I'd tried meditation apps for years and never stuck with it. Two months at Aikia and I now sit for 25 minutes every single morning. The difference between an app and a real teacher is enormous."
— Vikram T., HSR Layout
"My anxiety has been under treatment for years. The combination of yoga and the meditation sessions here has done what medication alone could not."

FAQ

Common questions

I can't sit still for five minutes. Will this even work for me?
That's the universal beginner experience — and exactly why guided practice with a teacher works so much better than apps. We start where you are and build from there.
Do I have to be religious or spiritual?
Not at all. The techniques work whether you bring a spiritual frame to them or treat them purely as mental training.
How long until I see results?
Most students feel calmer and sleep better within two weeks. The deeper changes — emotional regulation, focus, clarity — show up over months.
Should I do meditation along with asana classes?
Ideally yes. The body and the mind are not separate, and the asanas prepare you to sit comfortably.
